Product Description

This wood has been re-stained with honey brown stain, it has the mark of R  Forgan & Son “”Scotia”” ST Andrews within the strike band across the crown, the face lines have been re-cut, the sole is fitted with a half brass plate held in position by five metal screws, and is fitted with a rams horn sole insert and lead back weight. Research tells us that Robert Forgan & Sons,Ltd of St Andrews became clubmakers to HRH the Prince of Wales in 1863 and used the prince’s plume of three feathers as his mark. He was primarily a wooden clubmaker and is thought to have assembled and sold iron clubs as early as the 1860’s. This Club has a good playable condition shaft and a new Grip and Whipped with waxed linen thread which has then been coated with shellac to protect it from any bag damage that may occur. Please note: All our Clubs have been fully restored by a professional restorer of Hickory Golf Clubs to playing condition.
Your club/clubs will also be transported with proper Golf Club packaging. Please contact contact us about any shipping/postage enquiries.

We can always make up a set of clubs of your choice.
