This wood is of an unknown maker. It has been re-stained with honey brown stain, it has the name Willie Wallis YORK’S Hallamshire stamped within the strike band across the crown, the face lines have been re-cut, the sole is fitted with a half brass plate held in position by five metal screws, and is fitted with a rams horn sole insert and lead back weight. Willie Wallis was the Pro at Hallamshire Sheffield 1917 to 1932. This Club has a good playable condition shaft and a new Grip and Whipped with waxed linen thread which has then been coated with shellac to protect it from any bag damage that may occur. Please note: All our Clubs have been fully restored by a professional restorer of Hickory Golf Clubs to playing condition.
