| This club has a Dot Punch Regular face pattern and carry’s the Star trade mark of W.Gibson, Matched Set Made in Scotland, Gibson of Kinghorn Fife, on the sole reads 4 Solid rustless . Research tells us that William Gibson of Kinghorn Fife “Gibson of Kinghorn” supplied heads to many makers and professionals. His “Outline Star” mark was registered in 1906 although he started using it when he began his business in the 1890’s. The “Deep Struck Star” mark replaced the outline star in 1930+. This Club is in good playable condition with the new Grip and Wax coated thread use for the whipping then finished with shellac to protect it from any bag damage that may occur. Please note: All our Clubs have been fully restored by a professional restorer of Hickory Golf Clubs; it/they will arrive with a Tarnish Guard to protect it from the damp air which will allow it to rust, and should be replaced after cleaning.
