This club is of an unknown maker and is a persimmon socket head and finished in a Light Rosewood stain, across the crown is wrote George Carter SPECIAL, the Lead back weight is securely in position, the face lines have been re-cut and has a Fibre insert on the leading edge held in position with 2 steel screws and 1 wooden peg. Research tells us that George Carter was a Pro at Bushey Hall GC 1902 Guildford Surrey 1905 to 1908. This Club is in good playable condition with the original Grip and Wax coated thread use for the whipping then finished with Shellac to protect it from any bag damage that may occur.
