“This club has a Scored Line face pattern and marked with the ” Maltese Cross” of A.H.Ayres,Warranted, Hand Forged, Special, Deep Faced Mashie, Stamped Rowland Jones. Research tells us that F.H.Ayres London manufactured golf items and games as early as the 1880’s their “Maltese Cross” mark was not used until about 1910, The company was established in 1810 and was eventually bought out by Slazenger. This Club is in good playable condition with a new Grip and Whipped with waxed linen thread which has then been coated with shellac to protect it from any bag damage that may occur. Please note: All our Clubs have been fully restored by a professional restorer of Hickory Golf Clubs to playing condition. Your club/clubs will also be transported with proper Golf Club packaging.
