The Face has a Scored Line pattern, the shaft is stamped Tom Mounce selected, a Long face, central aiming line Round Ridged sole Marked Brodclair REG D 740464, Rustless Putter, Cleek and stamped Warranted, Hand Forge and is signed T.Mounce.
Camberley. Heath.G.C. Brodie & Son’s, was a small cleek making forge in Anstruther, Fife. The B S & A in an inverted triangle was their cleekmark. They were strictly a wholesale supplier of heads to the trade. Many Brodie heads went to the Tom Morris shop for their Autograph series. From 1894 – 1955 when the firm were purchased by Tom Auchterlonie & Son, St. Andrews.
This Club is in good playable condition with a new Grip and Wax coated thread use for the whipping then finished with shellac to protect it from any bag damage that may occur. Please note: All our Clubs have been fully restored by a professional restorer of Hickory Golf Clubs; it/they will arrive with a Tarnish Guard to protect it from the damp air which will allow it to rust, and should be replaced after cleaning.
