This club has a 45 degree scored line face pattern, one side of the Hosel is flat and square to the the face, it carry the trade mark of Cochrane Ltd a “Knight”, and stamped PUTTER, Rustless, CHALLENGER METAL and Special. Research tells us that this is a COCHRANE’S Ltd Edinburgh, J.P.Cochrane was originally in the ball business in 1906, later entering the club market. His marks were the “Bowline Knot”, the “Knight” and a monogram, Marks in use; 1915-1939. This Club is in good playable condition with the orginal Grip and Wax coated thread use for the whipping then finished with shellac to protect it from any bag damage that may occur. Please note: All our Clubs have been fully restored by a professional restorer of Hickory Golf Clubs; it/they will arrive with a Tarnish Guard to protect it from the damp air which will allow it to rust, and should be replaced after cleaning.
